The first thing that comes in the mind after going through the word diabetes is of diabetic men. More and more men are caught with this disease. It is now considered to be an epidemic. It is circling the whole globe and is as widespread as HIV.
Projections for diabetes in men are also alarming. World Health Organization has forecasted that number of men suffering from diabetes will touch hundred million in few years.
Signs of diabetes in men mainly come in type 2. Too little or too much sugar in the body system causes these signs of diabetes to set in. Both types of diabetes involve the hormone insulin and its ability to work effectively.

Retinopathy:
It is the degeneration of eyes which leads to either reduced vision or blindness
Kidney Diseases:
Kidneys are damaged because of the excessive filtration of sugar.
Nervous System Disorders:
More than half diabetic cases include these signs of nervous system disorder. These disorders include impotency, impaired sensation of limbs etc. reduced sensation also leads to amputation.
Diabetic Coma:
It is termed diabetic ketoacidosis. This takes place when the diabetic men become severely dehydrated. The cells become energy starved which leads to diabetic coma.
