SIGNS OF DIABETES TYPE 2
Type 2 diabetes develops gradually. Unfortunately signs of diabetes type 2 can stay
for years and the sufferer may not even know of his medical condition.
Following are some of the signs of diabetes type 2
Excessive Thirst
In diabetes, excessive sugar builds up in the blood so extra fluid is pulled up from
the tissues to dilute the sugar consistency. This makes a person thirsty. The result is that diabetics have
to drink and then urinate more often.
Excessive Hunger
There is a shortage of insulin so sugar cannot move into the cells. The organs and
muscle start to starve from energy. This triggers appetite.
Weight Loss
Instead of eating more often the body starts to lose weight. The cells are unable to
use glucose. The body then has to use the energy stored in muscle as fats. The consumed calories are lost
with urine.
Fatigue
If the cells of the body are deprived of energy, the person fell more irritable and
tired.
Blurriness in Vision
If the level of blood sugar is high the fluids of the eye are pulled from lens. This
affects the ability of the eye to focus.
Recurrent Infections
Diabetes type 2 affects the ability of the skin to heal and resist against recurrent
infections.
Darkened Skin Patches
Another sign of diabetes type 2 is that sufferer has patches of velvety dark skin in
the creases and folds of the bodies. This is more common in neck and armpits.
