NERVE DAMAGE - WARNING SIGN OF
DIABETES
Much stress is given to the early detection of the chronic problem. The reason behind is that early
detection and the right knowledge can keep the person away from much other related complication. The same
holds true in case of diabetes. If at the early stage warning sign of diabetes like numbness in hand and feet
is ignored it can lead to much serious problems like amputation.
Numbness is sensed because of the damage to the nerves by the high levels of sugar in the
bloodstream of diabetic. The numbness and tingling must not be ignored. It alarms that body is suffering from
nerve damage. It is one of the most common risks linked with diabetes. The slow healing of wounds and sores is another warning sign if diabetes
that signals nerve damage
The person who is suffering from nerve damage must not leave their sores or wounds open on hands and
legs. This condition is also termed diabetic neuropathy.
It is a severe problem that makes difficult for nerves to send message to brain and other body
parts. This is the reason that sometimes diabetic may not even aware that they are having some sore on their
feet and leg. This leads to serious infections.
If a timely visit to the doctor is not planned by detecting the warning signs of diabetes it may
even result in amputation.
