SIGNS OF TYPE 1 DIABETES
Type 1 Diabetes Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder. The immune system of the body attacks beta cells of pancreas that are responsible for producing insulin and destroy them. As a result pancreas either produces little or no insulin.
Causes of Type 1 Diabetes Till so far the cause of the attack of immune system to destroy the beta cells is not known. Still it is believed that contributing factor of type 1 disease could be genes, environment or even in some case viruses are involved. This diabetes type 1 accounts for about 5% - 10 % of the entire identified cases of diabetes in the United States of America. It is more common in young adults and children but it can be detected at any age.
