Diabetes is the condition which arises when the glucose content in blood is too high. Insulin is the chemical used by our body to help the glucose to be absorbed by cells. However Type I Diabetes occurs due to the body not being able to produce insulin in sufficient amounts. Then insulin should be acquired from external sources.
The most common symptoms of Diabetes Type I include frequent thirst and frequent need to urinate. As sugar builds up in the body the kidneys try to dispose sugar through urine. The greater the amount of urine we pass, greater the amount of water we need to drink in order to compensate for the fluids lost.
We may also feel very tired even when performing the simplest of tasks. It is glucose that cells use to produce energy. When glucose is not properly absorbed to cells they are incapable of producing energy as required by the body thus leaving us tired.
The higher content of sugar may also cause blurriness in our vision. This is because the lens in our eyes loses its shape and flexibility when a higher amount of sugar is present in our system.
If you lost weight suddenly this may be a cause for concern as well as it may be one of the symptoms of Diabetes Type I. When glucose cannot be used to produce energy the muscle tissue and fat reserves will be used to produce energy. This is what contributes to sudden weight loss.
If you experience any of these Symptoms of Diabetes Type I in combination contact your doctor immediately. Also type I Diabetes is mostly present in children. Therefore take especial care if your child is suddenly very thirsty always and is losing weight unexplainably.
